One of the greatest joys of being a wedding photographer is getting to witness the love that two people share. Michael's mother reached out to me a few months before their wedding and asked me to document Sarah & Michael's rehearsal dinner. After doing a walkthrough of the venue and rehearsing the ceremony, we rolled down the mountain to Oliver's of Montecito.
The groom's parents rented out a majority of the outdoor patio and bar to toast and celebrate the lives of Sarah & Michael. Over drinks and horduerves, old friends caught up with each other's lives, while new friendships were formed just seats away. Walking around, eavesdropping on conversations here and there, one thing was abundantly clear; Sarah & Michael are radiant, vibrant individuals who surround themselves with people that reverberate the same energy and love.
One of the sweetest moments was Michael getting to see his grandpa after nearly three years of staying safe at home from COVID in New York. They sat on Oliver's bar couch as friends and family stopped by and were introduced.
As the night went on, friends and family took to the mic, sharing their hilarious stories of Michael & Sarah, both roasting and toasting them and their future together.
If there's one thing I'm sure of, it's that the love surrounding Sarah and Michael's will go on for eternity.
